Grand Knight's Message

GK William Maxwell
Dear Worthy Brothers,

It is time to look forward to the Feb 11 Communion Breakfast. This is the first time we have run this wonderful and specifically Catholic event in 5 years, so it must be reintroduced to the parish. During this year of Eucharistic Revival, this particular Communion Breakfast is particularly special as it will be conducted along with the display of the 100 Eucharistic Miracles. Those attending the Communion Breakfast will have the additional opportunity to view the posters that are so popular that they had to be reserved way back in July to make sure they would be available for the Communion Breakfast date.

After the welcoming, a short speech on the Eucharistic Miracles posters will be given followed by a hot breakfast of French Toast, eggs, and sausage. Then the first of the speakers for the event will be Deacon John Scansaroli , who will speak on the following topic: “The Eucharist, the Living Person of Christ Changes Lives”. Following Deacon John, the awards for service to the parish and community will be presented. The event wraps up with Monsignor and Pastor Emeritus, Father Eugene Prus sharing his thoughts on the Eucharist.

All in all, the Knights are delighted to bring this event back to the parish calendar where we can all come together to celebrate our Catholic faith, publicly recognize the service of select parishioners, and affirm ourselves in our Catholic identity.

Upcoming Events:-
February 2 – First Friday of the month Eucharistic Adoration – Knights of the Eucharist: 7:00 PM
February 11 - Communion Breakfast- 11:00. As stated above, Deacon John and Monsignor Prus will be the speakers on the topic of the Eucharist along with a viewing of the Eucharistic Miracles.
- Many thanks to the Committee Members: PGK Dave Adams, PGK Bob Warren, PGK Al LoGiudice, PGK Manny Cirne, Treasurer Kennedy Arockiam, Brother Gary Starpoili and Brother Mike Sabella.
- This is a labor-intensive event, and we urgently need set-up and kitchen help!
  •  Set-up starts at 2:00 on Saturday, Feb 10 and the cooking begins at 8:00 AM on Feb 11. Please reply to this email to sign-up to help with set-up and cooking. Thank you.
February 14 – Council meeting is cancelled due to conflict with Ash Wednesday.
February 25 – Parish Retreat at St. Joseph’s Shrine in Stirling, NJ
February 28 - Social Council meeting at 7:30 in the Conference Room.

As always, please keep our Council and our brothers in your prayers as we invoke Blessed Father McGivney to guide our Council in our mission of Charity, Unity, Fraternity and Patriotism.

Vivat Jesus!

Bill Maxwell, Grand Knight
