Dear Brothers, Family, and Friends,

Continued best wishes for a holy, healthy new year!

Happy belated birthday to Br. Al Beronio who turned 90 earlier this month!

Thank you, Deputy Grand Knight Bill Maxwell, for presiding at our council meeting a week ago. This is greatly appreciated!

Thank you to PGK Dave Adams for the great work with chairing the coat drive! Thank you to PGK Vincent Scafuto! Here is a note I received from Dave before Christmas.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
GK Jon,

The coat box is there at BSC with 8 coats. I took 4 that were child & teen size to FISH right away (local distribution to Irene). Several are new. Vinny & I got some new (14) children’s coats at. Burlington with uncle Vinny getting a discount! We delivered those also. Temperature forecast for 24-25 Dec. is 15-14 F so this is urgent!

Cheers Dave

I hope to see you at next week's meeting, bring us your lightly used coats!

Vivat Jesus,
Jon De Leon

Christmas Greeting

A BLESSED CHRISTMAS…. We know that darkness becomes Light, and that Peace and Joy are ours because JESUS is born for us. May this Christmas, and every day, find our families following the Light of the World, the true Messiah among us.
This has been a very unusual year. After living for over half a century in New Jersey, I now reside in the large state of Texas. I live in a lovely assisted living facility called The Village at Incarnate Word. Our building is on a large tract of land which also houses the University of the Incarnate Word, which is in walking distance. I am also privileged to attend and audit classes there free of charge. Something to consider in the next year or so. More fun was to attend a football game yesterday afternoon against a university from South Carolina. In the evening I participated in a Spanish Christmas tradition called a Posada. My daughter, Joy, who lives a 15 minutes ride from here, also went with me.
Our Christian heritage is beautifully fostered in this community. Advent wreathes, decorated trees in all community rooms, nativity set-ups, etc. are all over the place. The outdoor trees over a large section of the campus are strung with many lights. We have daily and Sunday Mass in this building or one can attend Sunday Mass in a larger church on the grounds. I am introducing Bible studies here that we did in New Jersey and this past week we completed The Great Adventure Bible Timeline. It went over very well. In January 2023 we are scheduled to start the study of Peter and for Lent we will present Brant Pitre’s Jewish Roots of Holy Week.
There are many other activities as well. I attend some exercise classes, arts and crafts, movies, buses to restaurants and shopping, and there is also a large swimming pool which I haven’t tried yet.
Although I still miss New Jersey and all of you who have been so special to me, I am beginning to feel more at home here as time goes by. I pray you are staying healthy and will have a very happy and holy Christmas and New Year. I am always delighted to hear from you and grateful to all who keep in touch.

Love and peace,
Kathie Sisolak

Exemplification Ceremony

The Knights of Columbus has revised the degree program; it is now one Exemplification Ceremony which combines 1st. (Charity) 2nd. Unity and 3rd. Fraternity, our Orders' principles. The one degree is now the Charity, Unity and Fraternity (CUF) degree. The 4th (Patriotism) continues to be a distinct event.

The link below includes a video of the ceremony. Take the time to view this video as a refresher as to what the nights are about and why you joined and to help you explain to your family who the Knights are, what we stand for and what we do.
