Grand Knight's Message

Dear Worthy Brothers, Family and Friends,
|
Our Council has had a long-standing relationship with the Matheny Medical and Education Center in Peapack. That relationship continued this past Wednesday, August 30, when Past Grand Knight Al LoGiudice and I presented the CEO of Matheny with a sizable donation on behalf of our Council.
|
|
Following the check presentation, members of the staff graciously gave us a tour of the facility and informed us of the many services they provide for the 101 permanent residents and 45 students who are bused to the facility each school day. Of particular note, is the plaque dedicated to Past Grand Knight Larry Thornton, for his many years of service to Matheny.
|
Needless to say, the work done for these severely handicapped individuals is inspiring and reminds me of how each one of us, in the words of Saint John Paul II, is unique, precious, and unrepeatable.

Exemplification Ceremony
The Knights of Columbus has revised the degree program; it is now one Exemplification Ceremony which combines 1st. (Charity) 2nd. Unity and 3rd. Fraternity, our Orders' principles. The one degree is now the Charity, Unity and Fraternity (CUF) degree. The 4th (Patriotism) continues to be a distinct event.

Held every 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of the month, except as periodically announced. All members of the Knights of Columbus in good-standing are invited to attend, please arrive no later than start time.
