Newsletter Archives

Our next council meeting will be on Zoom on

* Monday, June 12, 2023, 7:00 PM *

Rebuild. Rebrand. Reinvigorate.

Dear Brothers, Family and Friends,

Thank you for participating in the Special Needs Drive. With the limited locations where we can collect, it is particularly challenging to collect as much as we did in past years. None-the-less, we thank Dunkin for allowing us to continue our tradition and thank all the brothers, family and friends that collected and/or donated to the cause. Thank you, community director PGK David Adams, for spearheading yet another successful event.

We now turn to our next endeavor, which is to congratulate all fathers on Father's Day, Sunday June 18. We will invite all Blessed Sacrament parishioners for light refreshments after the Vigil Mass at 4PM and coffee and donuts after the Family Mass at 10 AM. We ask that the council brothers make themselves available to setup the room and meet and greet the parishioners, and hand out St. Joseph prayer cards to all the men.

We will discuss the event further at our next council meeting which, this time, is on Zoom and a different day and time, Monday June 12 at 7 PM. This will be a virtual meeting. A Zoom link will be sent out to all council brothers on meeting day at 8 am. If you don't receive the link, by 8:15 AM on the 12th, please reply to this email and I will send it to you directly.

Exemplification Ceremony

The Knights of Columbus has revised the degree program; it is now one Exemplification Ceremony which combines 1st. (Charity) 2nd. Unity and 3rd. Fraternity, our Orders' principles. The one degree is now the Charity, Unity and Fraternity (CUF) degree. The 4th (Patriotism) continues to be a distinct event.

The link below includes a video of the ceremony. Take the time to view this video as a refresher as to what the Knights of Columbus are about and why you joined and to help you explain to your family who the Knights are, what we stand for and what we do.
