Grand Knight's Message

20181017_192449

Grand Knight,

Jonathan De Leon

Dear Brothers, Sir Knights, Friends and Family,

Thank you!

To those of you who were able to help with statue maintenance, donated materials and to Martinsville Hardware for the beautiful large America Flag we hung on the flagpole in front of Blessed Sacrament Church. Please see photos below, and support Warrenville Paint and Hardware.

To those of you that attended our Pizza Social on Wednesday, it was great seeing you and hearing your perspectives. I deeply appreciate your commitment to our council and our parish!

To those of you who have signed up and will support our parish's, Fall Fest on Sunday. If you have not already signed-up via our parish's website, please sign up today and come give us a hand!

To those of you that have signed up for volunteering at our next major event. For us to be able to make a difference, we need your help! We will send out sign up requests to recruit members of our council, friends, and family to volunteer at this event.

As you may already know, we are planning our next major event, and have earmarked the proceeds to the "Culture of Life" cause. In collaboration with our sister councils of District 64, we are raising funds to purchase an ultrasound machine for a New Brunswick woman's counseling center! It has been proven that, when a mother considering an abortion sees the baby in her own womb, she will realize that instead, she will want to nurture her unborn baby until the day she can hold the baby boy or girl in her arms. She will hug and kiss him or her and realize how privileged she is and the amazing miracle that was granted her by God.

Thank you and God Bless!

Jon De Leon
Council 5959

Fall Fest - Your help is needed!

Please volunteer at our Parish's Fall Festival on Sunday, September 26th. Keep an eye on the bulletin and the Parish Webpage for the latest updates.

New Flag!

On Saturday September 18th, PGK Vincent Scafuto stopped by Warrenville to pick up some paint to beautify Blessed Father Michael J McGivney's statue. Additionally, decided to pick up as well a new flag for our Blessed Sacrament Church Martinsville main flagpole. Bill McDonald noticed them, realized that this was for our parish and council, and decided to donate all that Vinny was buying!
Thank you, Bill, and Warrenville, for your generosity!
