Grand Knight's Message

20181017_192449

Grand Knight,

Jonathan De Leon

Worthy Brothers, Family, and Friends,

At this meeting, we will review plans for our council's September 10 and 11 weekend events.

1. Blood Drive (Thank you PGK Pat Noonan)
2. Membership Drive - we need volunteers to distribute and pick up KofC membership recruiting cards, look for signup genius invites to cover Saturday 4 PM vigil mass, 10 AM and 12 Noon Sunday masses. Click here to sign up via Sign Up Genius
We'd like your help to 1) Great Parishioners and hand prayer cards to parishioners as they enter the church, in the lobby, 2) collect their completed cards as the parishioners exist the church, 3) straighten materials on pews after each mass and 4) if you attend the noon Mass, pick it up the materials after the Mass.

3. Coffee and Donuts - we need volunteers to 1) set up the room and coffee machine on Saturday Morning after the 9am Mass and 2) meet and greet parishioners as they have their coffee and donuts after 10 AM and 12 Noon Masses
Rebuild. Rebrand. Reinvigorate.

Thank you and God Bless!
Vivat Jesus,
Jon De Leon
Grand Knight

Children's Organ Transplant

Brothers, family and friends,

The Somerset County American Legion will be holding a fundraiser next month for children who need organ transplants.

Please consider a donation to this worthwhile cause. COTA facts can be found here: https://cota.org/learn-more/cota-faqs/
There is a COTA (Children's Organ Transplant Association) Fund Raiser on Saturday September 17, 2022 from 1pm - 6pm at Post 12 in Somerville.

We hope to raise money for this worthwhile project. Make checks payable to the “American Legion Somerset County Executive Committee” and either give the check to me or mail it to me by September 16.

May God Bless these children and you for your generous gift.

Exemplification Ceremony

The Knights of Columbus has revised the degree program; it is now one Exemplification Ceremony which combines 1st. (Charity) 2nd. Unity and 3rd. Fraternity, our Orders' principles. The one degree is now the Charity, Unity and Fraternity (CUF) degree. The 4th (Patriotism) continues to be a distinct event.

The link below includes a video of the ceremony. Take the time to view this video as a refresher as to what the nights are about and why you joined and to help you explain to your family who the Knights are, what we stand for and what we do.
