Scholarship Program Overview
Brothers and Prospective Members of our Council,
We were fortunate to be able to again award scholarships to 2 high school graduates, see PGK Fred's update below. We should all be aware that our council scholarships are only available as follows:
To eligible children and grandchildren of council 5959 active members. Active members are those in good standing who participate in council meetings and council event planning and execution.
To eligible members' children and grandchildren graduating from high school who have been accepted to further their education at a higher learning institution.
Although, historically, most applicants have continued their education at 4-year colleges, graduates may choose a technical school or other institution of higher education.
Contact us at officers@kofc.ws or leave us a voicemail on phone number 210-5959-499 with your comments and recommendations. Our scholarship is a benefit to active members in good standing!

Dear Brothers, family, and friends,
This year Knights of Columbus Our Lady of the Hills Council scholarship awards of $500 have been presented to two individuals from the class of 2022.
Nicholas A. Jankowski, the grandson of PGK Tom Battaglia, is our awardee from Bridgewater-Raritan Regional High School. Nick submitted an acceptance letter from the University of Scranton where he will major in Business.
The grandson of PGK Sal Longo, Salvatore Longo III, is our awardee from Somerville High School and is on his way to James Madison University where he will major in Finance. A key club and yearbook club member, Salvatore received considerable notoriety as the captain of the football team and one of the finest high school players in Somerset County.
In addition, our annual award for achievement in theology at Immaculata High School was presented to Olivia Gaibor from right here in Martinsville. Likewise, our annual award for Outstanding Christian Values at Mount St. Mary Academy was given to graduating senior Mary Wieszczek. Each of these awards was for $250.
