Grand Knight's Message

Grand Knight,

Jonathan De Leon

Worthy Brothers, Family, and Friends,

As so many of us are travelling and enjoying lots of activities during the summer, we have canceled both the 4th Wednesday in July and 2nd Wednesday in August council meetings.

Council members are reminded to attend our meetings whenever possible. We need your collaboration on developing innovative programs and help our council bring members and parishioners together while supporting our local organizations. Additionally, council officers should attend all meetings. If you are not able to attend, please let everyone know by replying to this email, sending an email to officers@kofc.ws or calling 201-5959-499. If you let us know, we can mark you as excused, and will not be counting on you for our business and voting requirements.

Our next meeting will be on Wednesday August 24th. Please join us, we will be kicking off our fall and winter schedule in earnest and need a lot of support.

We will have the following Events on September 11
  1. Blood Drive (Thank you PGK Pat Noonan)
  2. Membership Drive - we need volunteers to distribute and pick up KofC membership recruiting cards
  3. Coffee and Donuts - we need volunteers to set up the room and meet and greet parishioners
Rebuild. Rebrand. Reinvigorate.

Thank you and God Bless!
Vivat Jesus,
Jon De Leon

and

To eligible members' children and grandchildren graduating from high school who have been accepted to further their education at a higher learning institution.

Although, historically, most applicants have continued their education at 4-year colleges, graduates may choose a technical school or other institution of higher education.

The Knights of Columbus has revised the degree program; it is now one Exemplification Ceremony which combines 1st. (Charity) 2nd. Unity and 3rd. Fraternity, our Orders' principles. The one degree is now the Charity, Unity and Fraternity (CUF) degree. The 4th (Patriotism) continues to be a distinct event.

The link below includes a video of the ceremony. Take the time to view this video as a refresher as to what the nights are about and why you joined and to help you explain to your family who the Knights are, what we stand for and what we do.
