Grand Knight's Message

Grand Knight,

Jonathan De Leon

Worthy Brothers, Family, and Friends,

Worthy Brothers, Family and Friends,

I hope this note finds you well and that everyone is safe and healthy!

As we head into the final months of our Fraternal Year, the focus within the Council is to increase membership with more active members. As we discussed at this past week's Council meeting, we are holding a Church next week, May 21-22, at all the masses. This drive is the first step in bringing in new, prospective members. As I think about what the theme should be for the next Fraternal Year, it comes down to 3 Rs: REBUILD, REBRAND, REINVIGORATE.
  • We need to REBUILD our Core. We have a great core of Knights currently, however, to sustain our success and presence within the community, we need a new core of members to take on leadership roles within the Council.
  • Some of the feedback I've gotten is that parishioners forget that there's a KofC at Blessed Sacrament. We need to REBRAND our Council and let the community know that the Knights are still around and are active.
  • Lastly, we need to REINVIGORATE not only our Council with Fraternal events, more members at meetings so that we can all catch up but REINVIGORATE the community as well. It's been a tough 2+ years. We need to see more of each other.
We need at least 3 Knights at each of the Masses next weekend to hand out and collect cards at Church Drive. Please click on the banner below to sign up for a mass.

Thank you all and have a great week! Stay safe and healthy.

Vivat Jesus,
Jon De Leon

Exemplification Ceremony

The Knights of Columbus has revised the degree program; it is now one Exemplification Ceremony which combines 1st. (Charity) 2nd. Unity and 3rd. Fraternity, our Orders' principles. The 4th (Patriotism) continues to be a distinct event.

The link below, includes a video of the ceremony. Take the time to view this video as a refresher as to what the nights are about and why you joined and to help you explain to your family who the Knights are, what we stand for and what we do.
