Brothers, Sir Knights, Family, and Friends,
We have received a notification from SK Michael Thomas, Past Faithful Navigator of Father Kuhlman Assembly #815 in Dayton, Ohio where SK Stephen Varmuza Jr. was a member. PGK Stephen was a Charter Member of our council; he moved to Ohio many years ago and as such many of us may not know him. For those of you that did, it would be appreciated if you could click here to access his obituary and share a memory or leave a note of condolence to the family. See the message from SK Michael below.
See PGK Bob's article below for further information as well as a request for your activities and number of hours volunteered to include in the council's Annual Fraternal Activity Report.
When attending Mass, please follow all of our parish's protocols and represent the Knights. We'd like to ask you to wear an Officer's Badge if you have one (even if it is from previous years), a Knights jacket, or at least a Knights of Columbus Emblem pin.
Vivat Jesu!

Worthy Grand Knight:
My name is Mike Thomas - I'm the Past Faithful Navigator of Father Kuhlman Assembly #815 in Dayton, Ohio. I regret to inform you of the passing of Stephen Varmuza, who I understand was a charter member and PGK of Council 5959. I am handling the 4th Degree ceremonials at his viewing and Mass but figured you and your council might want to know of his death.
If there is any information that I can provide - please reach out to me and I'll be glad to help.

Dear Brothers, Family, and Friends,
I hope you and your family had a wonderful and safe Christmas! This is my favorite time of the year because it involves a few of my favorite things: spending time with family, eating, and watching countless Christmas movies, starting with Christmas Vacation! Also, as the year ends, it gives me an opportunity to reflect on the year and how the Good Lord has blessed me and my family throughout the year.
To date, we've raised $2800, 93% of our goal! I'll make one more "plea" in the email to see if we can get that $200 to get us to our goal. This includes the $1400 in anonymous cash donations that we received in early December. I'll try to stop by the Church tomorrow to see if there are any checks that have been sent there.
If I don't see/talk to you beforehand, I want to wish you and your families a very Merry Christmas and a prosperous and healthy New Year!
God Bless you!
DGK Jon De Leon

As a member of the United States Coast Guard assigned to the USS Samuel Chase, Frank served as a gunner’s mate third class and crewed a Higgins boat on 15 D-Day landings. Frank was a part of the first wave, on June 6, 1944, that brought the Big Red One into Omaha Beach, and to this day still wonders how he survived.
