Brothers, Sir Knights, Family, and Friends,
On behalf of our council, I would like to wish you all a safe and Merry Christmas! May the spirit of Christmas re-energize you, your family, and friends and renew your commitment to serve your fellow man, your council, and your Church.
Would like to as well, pass along Christmas greetings from our NJ District 64 Leadership. Dan Germaine, District Deputy, Tim Bradshaw, and Jim Gallombardo, District Wardens; Click here to view.
Our council's Financial Secretary, PGK Robert Warren is in the process of creating and mailing 2021 dues invoices, please be considerate of his efforts by paying your dues promptly. Paying on the first notice will avoid the extra work and expense of sending out multiple notices.
See PGK Bob's article below for further information as well as a request for your activities and number of hours volunteered to include in the council's Annual Fraternal Activity Report.
Our fundraiser for local charities continues... please find DGK Jon De Leon's short article below once again for further context. Click here to view and donate to Holiday Fundraiser for Local Charities. We'd like to multiply our efforts by asking you to forward this email or otherwise share this link with all your friends and family. This will make them aware of the Knights of Columbus Council 5959's efforts and give them the opportunity to donate to this most important cause.
When attending Mass, please follow all of our parish's protocols and represent the Knights. We'd like to ask you to wear an Officer's Badge if you have one (even if it is from previous years), a Knights jacket, or at least a Knights of Columbus Emblem pin.
Vivat Jesu!

Dear Brothers, Family, and Friends,
I hope you and your family had a wonderful and safe Thanksgiving! This is my favorite time of the year because it involves a few of my favorite things: spending time with family, eating, and watching countless Christmas movies, starting with Christmas Vacation! Also, as the year ends, it gives me an opportunity to reflect on the year and how the Good Lord has blessed me and my family throughout the year.
While it was a somber moment at the memorial mass remembering the Brothers that came before us, it was great to see some of you and catch up with you briefly. As I mentioned in my brief introduction to you and the church, one of the reasons I joined the KofC was to work with a group of people and accomplish a goal of giving back to the community. Well, in the last 3 weeks, we're almost half-way to our goal: we've raised $1,250 / 42% of our $3,000 goal as of Last week!
God Bless you!
DGK Jon De Leon

As a member of the United States Coast Guard assigned to the USS Samuel Chase, Frank served as a gunner’s mate third class and crewed a Higgins boat on 15 D-Day landings. Frank was a part of the first wave, on June 6, 1944, that brought the Big Red One into Omaha Beach, and to this day still wonders how he survived.
