Brothers, Sir Knights, Family, and Friends,
Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours! As we enter the Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year holiday season, there is much need for our support in ensuring the most needy in our community have a happy thanksgiving and holy season as well. To this end, we are hosting a virtual fundraiser. Please find DGK Jon De Leon's short article below, click here to view and donate Holiday Fundraiser for Local Charities. We'd like to multiply our efforts by asking you to forward this email or otherwise share this link with all your friends and family. This will making them aware of the Knights of Columbus Council 5959's efforts and give them the opportunity to donate to this most important cause.
Thank you to all our veterans for your service to our county and to PGK Fred Ciociola and PGK Bob Warren represented Bridgewater Veterans at the township Veteran Days commemoration at the invitation of Bridgewater Township Mayor, the Honorable Matt Moench our council brother. Click to view the video.
Thank you to PGK Pat Noonan for chairing another successful Blood Drive yesterday! During this time of the COVID-19 Pandemic, our presence is only evidenced by our participation in donating blood, as such, I would like to thank all of those who were able to participate in donating a pint. Here is a link to the Red Cross Blood organization's website for scheduling your next donation in the Martinsville area.
Thank you all for your efforts in bringing us back as parishioners of the Church of the Blessed Sacrament! When you attend Mass, please ensure to follow all of our parish's protocols and represent the Knights. We'd like to ask you to wear an Officer's Badge, if you have one (even if it is from previous years), a Knights jacket or at least a Knights of Columbus Emblem pin.
Finally, click here to view the latest KofC Video from Supreme Council regarding Fr. McGivney and the Knights. Its a short, 5-minute video, I highly recommend it!
Vivat Jesu!

Dear Brothers, Family and Friends,
As we close out an unprecedented year consumed by a global pandemic, many people are left in need of basic items such as food and clothes (particularly winter coats). The Knights of Columbus, Martinsville Council 5959, as in previous years, wants to continue supporting local charities in Somerset Country with the most critical items.
Because of the unique and continuing unprecedented circumstances, as we did in the Spring, we're raising money this Christmas Season (including Thanksgiving) to support our local charitable organizations. We will present these organizations with the donation prior to Christmas, and a follow-up donations as additional ones are received.
Your donations will reach so many families in the Somerset County area. Thank you in advance! We wish you and your families a Happy Thanksgiving, a blessed Christmas, and a prosperous New Year!
God Bless you!
DGK Jon De Leon

As a member of the United States Coast Guard assigned to the USS Samuel Chase, Frank served as a gunner’s mate third class and crewed a Higgins boat on 15 D-Day landings. Frank was a part of the first wave, on June 6, 1944, that brought the Big Red One into Omaha Beach, and to this day still wonders how he survived.
