Mary and I would like to, on behalf of the council, wish you and your loved ones a Blessed Christmas. Reflecting on the meaning of this very special celebration, nurturing our relationships with our Council, Blessed Sacrament Parish, and community and building new ones with our neighbors.
Please continue to support our veterans, whatever you can do will be greatly appreciated. See message below from PGK John Arcoleo regarding support for Lyons VA.
I hand delivered the Emergency Funds for SHIP the soup kitchen in Somerville. This was greatly appreciated due to a shift In the lack of major contributions this year. As I mentioned earlier in the year the food kitchen has functioned for 30 years. This is the first time since they opened, that they are experiencing very hard financial times! Please remember the homeless in your prayers this Christmas Season.
The PGK Frank Comune Memorial Communion Breakfast is our next major event, we have setup an electronic sign-up sheet, as we cannot rely on the same 5 percent of our membership to continue the same number of events. I am asking all of you, to click on this link to access Signup Genius and consider helping us run the event. See message below from our event Chairman, PGK Robert Warren. If you can't sign-up online, please do not hesitate to contacts by replying to this email or calling our council number at 929-459-5950 (this is our new phone number, its easier to remember formatted this way 929-4-5959-50 :).

This year’s guest speaker will be Rev. Fr Timothy Christy, Vicar General of Metuchen Diocese. Mark your calendars to plan to attend this wonderful annual event with your family and friends. Come to the 9 AM Mass, listen to a different perspective on the Gospel, and follow Father Christy downstairs for a great breakfast! Help us honor those that have provided outstanding service to our Council, Parish and Community!
Tickets are $10 per person, $5 age 6-12, under 6 free. It is a traditional American breakfast prepared by some of our best chefs. This is usually a full house event and tickets are limited, so please purchase your tickets early to avoid being disappointed.
