On Monday, PGK Manny and I met with Father Rick and Patty to discuss event ideas and request guidance and suggestions. We had an excellent meeting and received great feedback and wonderful ways for us to more closely live our faith and aid our fellow parishioners and at the same time invite them to join our council. As a result, we have lots of great ideas to fit into our plans, we will need your support and talents.
On Wednesday, Brothers John Fus and Chuck Franklin, PGK's Manny and Bob Warren, and I met with our District Deputy, Bob Gray and district councils' Grand Knights. We discussed ways we can better share ideas and leverage our strengths.
Although not a KofC specific event, I encourage you to participate in the "Culture of Life" event as announced below by our Advocate, Br. Carl Sisolak, regarding the Pro-Life booth at the 4H Fair. The 4H Fair is a Family Friendly event, and we encourage all knights to come out with their families and participate in the Pro-Life both, and if not able to participate at least visit the both to ensure the most attention possible to this, the most worthy cause that we wholeheartedly support.
We had a very fruitful month of July, but to implement our plan and continue our momentum, we need your support and your talents. Please join us at one of our meetings or participate in one of our events.

A reminder that the Somerset 4H Fair is close at hand. It is located on Milltown Road. The fair dates are the 8th, 9th and 10th of August. A good link to check it out: http://www.somersetcounty4h.org. I plan to be at the fair helping at the pro life booth with a few others on the 10th. I plan to also try handing out some prayer cards and Knights of Columbus info cards left from Father's Day. I will be at the Council meeting on the 8th for last minute sign ups for time slots and to hand out cards to those who would like to stop by the booth on the 9th or 10th.
You can also drop me a line via phone or email as shown below. Please pass the word for me to those knights that are not officers as i don't have a Contact list of names for them and would like them to know. Thank You
