Grand Knight's Message

Scafuto, Vincent

Brother Knights ,

Happy Thanksgiving to you and your loved ones!

We are fast approaching Christmas, and with it comes one of our best fraternal events of the year; our council's Christmas Social. This year we will host this event in rooms 14 and 15, same as last year, on December 14. All council members in good-standing and his wife are invited. The cost per person is $12.50 which will be collected at the door.

Additionally, we will be raffling off baskets and are asking you to bring your basket items to our next meeting, and volunteer to help us make this a great event. See article below for further details and Evite link to RSVP!

I would ask the you take a minute to think about the less fortunate in our community. One way you can help is by donating to SHIP; to learn more about this great organization, which the council also supports. To learn more about this fine organization, please read their newsletter

"SHIP's Log" Thanksgiving edition ; click here to download.

I wanted to take a moment to thank several Brothers for their “extra-knightly” involvement Wednesday 11/13/19 while our State Deputy Vincent Tavormina attended our council meeting.

Manny Cirne ,thank you this exceptional newsletter. What a night! What memories!

Bob Erwin, thank you for preparing your lovely meal! It was a hit!

Jon Fus, thank you for help with setup.

Dave Adams, thank you with ALL of the “Food Fixings” that when along with the meal. Plus for the many “Little Fixings” you bring to our regular meetings, thank you!

Chuck Franklin Deputy Grand Knight assisting me with the room preparation.

Al Beronio, our roving photographer

Brothers please take a moment to say thank you to these men!

I want to make the following statement:

As the Grand Knight, I was asked to improve our meetings better. You wanted our meetings to be fun, informative and not to drag-on! I believe I have provided that and more, we have many very “busy-men” engaging in preparing meals for our meetings.

The council is not paying for the food or the refreshments. This is a donation of time and personal expense for the brotherhood and not an obligation! So the NEXT time the “Can is Passed” around please remember; we all need to do our part.

Let’s make our Council Great Again”

(OK I borrowed that from the big guy), Volunteer to bring a meal, or a side, bottle of wine, block of cheese or a few dollars to continue this new meeting format!

Wishing everyone and their families a Blessed Thanksgiving and Safe travels; and please, join us at our next meeting!

Vivat Jesu,

Vincent Scafuto

Grand Knight
