SERAFIN-Stan

FDD Stan Serafin, PGK of Council 5959

On Saturday June 29, 2019 member councils of District 64 will honor FDD Stan Serafin for his excellent term as our District Deputy.

As a Grand Knight, Stan lead our council through one of the most difficult times in our council and community's history.

A month and a half into his term as Grand Knight, on August 22, 2009 we received the extremely sad news that our late brother Bob Lobosco's son, Andrew T Lobosco, had been killed in Afghanistan. Stan performed exemplary as our council leader, he ensured Andy had an honorable homecoming at our Parish and was honored with accepting the American Flag flown over Firebase Price, Helmond Province, Afghanistan from August 2009 to January 2010. This picture of then GK Stan Serafin accepting the Flag from Capt Michael Loconsolo was featured in the Columbia magazine. The flag and below testimonial are still on display today, in a custom made display case, created by our late brother Thomas Sheehan, in the Blessed Sacrament Church lobby.

With Stan as our leader, we achieved at the highest level during an extremely difficult year, an received the highest honor of Star Council.
