Grand Knight's Message
Your prayers are requested for Former District Deputy, Past Grand Knight Lawrence Thornton, pictured above. PGK Larry is a great supporter or our Order and Council. He was the first Chairman of the Council 5959 Art Auction which lasted for almost 20 years and raised unparalleled amount of funds for our charities.
Larry was instrumental in acquiring and installing two KofC Council 5959 statues at Blessed Sacrament Church. One of Venerable Father Michael J McGivney and the entrance and Pro-Life (Jesus and Children) at the exist of the parking lot. His service to our Order, Church, Council and Community we be remembered forever!
In the last few years, Larry serves as a trustee and volunteer at at Matheny School, which provides services for children and adults with mental and physical disabilities. Larry has helped so many for so long, but now needs our help, he is extremely ill, and needs our prayers.
Thank you to all those that participated this Saturday (6 April) at King's Bedminster for the Food Bank of Somerset County food drive, this was another great event. Thanks to your participation we will continue to serve our Community, Church and Council. Our tested and true volunteers led by our Event Chairman, Br. Bill Wellman, came through once again to provide foods and much needed sundries for the most needy among us.
On the weekend after Easter, 27-28 April will be our next Spring Flower and Exotic Plant Sale. Flats and individual flowering plants available at great prices. Further information will be provided as to help required as we get closer to the event date. See flyer below!

Although I live in the parish, my daughter attends St. James Elementary so we attend Mass there. But I wanted to spread the word.

May 3d NJ RTL dinner banquet - Friday night in New Brunswick
In case I forget, any interest in the NJ Right to Life banquet in New Brunswick on May 3rd, a Friday?
I try to fill a table. Alice and I and a few friends are committed to attend but a few seats left with us. Trey Gowdy is the speaker. Sarah Palin was last year and I enjoyed her words.
